I liked your recap and simple, elegant graphics. AND I’d like to point out a fact that people miss in telling the Apple story… In the early 90’s Robert Brunner, who ran the design team at Apple till ‘96, started a new era of design at Apple, hiring Jony Ive and rethinking design. Bob’s design team put sexy into computers with the first PowerBook, the precursor to MacPro. The Powerbook was the first Apple product to ring up a $1b in the first year, made the new portable a cool, computing accessory and not just a shrunken desk top. We, at BEAM worked with them on the concept, development and launch. Give Ive his due AND give Bob Brunner credit for setting it all in motion.
